Abstrak

Universitas Tanjungpura dituntut dapat memberikan pelayanan dengan baik dan berkualitas. Bagian Kemahasiswaan Fakultas Teknik Universitas Tanjungpura merupakan salah satu bagian dari struktur pelaksana administrasi yang berfungsi memberikan pelayanan kepada mahasiswa dalam mempermudah keperluan selama perkuliahan. Salah satu pelayanan administrasi yang ada di Bagian Kemahasiswaan Fakultas Teknik Universitas Tanjungpura adalah pelayanan administrasi surat. Proses permohonan surat yang diminta oleh mahasiswa dan pengelolaan surat di Bagian Kemahasiswaan Fakultas Teknik Uviversitas Tanjungpura masih konvensional seperti mahasiswa harus menemui pegawai fakultas untuk meminta persetujuan permohonan surat dan pencatatan surat yang selesai diproses masih ditulis dalam buku manual oleh pegawai fakultas. Agar proses pelayanan antar mahasiswa dan pegawai fakultas dalam memperoleh surat keterangan lebih mudah dan berjalan sesuai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan maka diperlukan sistem yang terkomputerisasi dalam pelayanan permohonan surat tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) model waterfall, framework Laravel, dan MySQL serta menggunakan metode pengujian blackbox testing. Hasil akhir penelitian ini yaitu aplikasi permohonan surat berbasis website yang telah diuji bahwa sistem dapat dan telah berhasil dibangun untuk surat keterangan yang diajukan mahasiswa ke pegawai fakultas berupa surat untuk keterangan: SKMK (Surat Keterangan Masih Kuliah), Dispensasi, Rekomendasi, Tugas Mahasiswa dan Pernyataan.    

Tanjungpura University is demanded to provide good and high-quality services. The Student Affairs Division of the Faculty of Engineering is one of the parts of the administrative execution structure that functions to serve students in facilitating their needs throughout their studies. One of the administrative services available in the Student Affairs Division of the Faculty of Engineering is letter administration. The process of letter application requested by students and the management of letters in the Student Affairs Division of the Faculty of Engineering is still conventional, such as students having to meet faculty staff to request letter approvals and the recording of completed processed letters still being manually written in books by faculty staff. In order for the service process between students and faculty staff to obtain certificates to be easier and to run in accordance with the established objectives, a computerized system is needed in the administration of these letter requests. This research uses the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) waterfall model, the Laravel framework, and MySQL, as well as employing the blackbox testing method. The final result of this research is a web-based letter request application that has been tested, showing that the system can and has been successfully built for the certificate letters requested by students to faculty staff, including certificates for SKMK (Letter of Enrollment Status), Dispensations, Recommendations, Student Assignments, and Statements.
